THE ECO-CITY NETWORK
Our team of advisers can assist state and local government officials maximize their EECBG funding by:
- leveraging existing resources, both public and private sources;
- extending the impact of this program beyond the funding period;
- reducing the community’s dependence on fossil fuels;
- promoting energy market transformation; and
- educating citizens on their important role in energy conservation and efficiency
We bring first-hand experience in helping other communities develop their climate action and sustainability plans. Using an integrated and holistic approach to the development of energy strategies, we help EECBG grant recipients:
- Identify existing plans, programs and policies, that would support EECBG program priorities, such as smart growth development, existing or shovel ready transportation-related projects, and existing state planning requirements, such as AB 32 in California;
- Organize cross departmental teams to determine how best to leverage the EECBG funding as a catalyst for climate protection; and
- Engage residents, business leaders and the non-profit community in the action planning process so that they are motivated to take action as well.
